The InerLok050 copper pipe cleaner is designed to clean the outside of copper pipes / tubes with a diameter of 1/2-inch (nominal size 1/2”, measured OD around 5/8”). The 2 additional brushing pieces are to replace the one in the pipe cleaner when worn. The three 1/2-inch fitting brushes are used to clean the inside of copper, brass, and bronze fittings. The diameter of these 3 brushes is slightly bigger than that of fittings for effective cleaning. They prepare 1/2-inch pipes and fittings for subsequent fluxing, soldering, sweating, brazing, or welding. The 1/4-inch shank on the brush fits most power drills. Brush bristles are made with stainless-steel wires for effective cleaning. It is a tool set for homeowners, DIYers, plumbers, and contractors, etc. Instructions: 1. Align the axis of the brush to pipes / tubes / fittings while using the tool. 6. Keep the drill running while inserting the pipes / fittings and removing them from the brush. Do not reverse the direction of the drill at any point during the process. 7. To replace the worn brushing pieces in the housing: Step (1), prey out the clip-on front cover. Step (2), take out the worn brushing piece. Step (3), insert a new brushing piece in the casing. Step (4), put the clip-on front cover back.
